Esta Lena Reeves, 78, daughter of Frank and Laura Elliott Bissell, was born November 12, 1915, at Thomasville. She died April 1, 1994, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.

She married Sidney Wingo Reeves Nov. 12, 1938 in St. Louis. They had three daughters.

Mrs. Reeves moved to Summersville from Alexander, Kan., in 1955. She worked at Angelica Uniform Co. for almost 35 years and was a member of the Summersville Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1948; one daughter Catherine Elizabeth Robison in 1993; and three brothers Alpha, Hubert and Clinton Bissell.

Surviving are two daughters, Carol Jo Ann Schulz of St. Louis and Laura Vivian Hasamear of DeSoto; two brothers Albert Bissell of Winona and Oscar Bissell of DeSoto; three sisters, Myra Bartch of Piedmont, Opal Terrill of Summersville and Mable Davis of Granite City, Ill.; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were April 4 at Duncan Funeral Home Chapel in Summersville with Larry Tubbs officiating. Burial was in Woodside Cemetery at Thomasville.
