GEORGE VIOLA (DeFALCO)
Viola George, age 94, of Jefferson Hills, died on Monday, December 30, 2013 at her home. She was born on September 15, 1919 in Glassport, one of eight children of Joseph and Camilla (Borelli) DeFalco. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Bob Sheets and five of her siblings, Carmella, Peter, Joseph and Julia DeFalco and Anna Cirtelli. Viola is survived by her husband of 73 years, John George; two children, son James (Michele) George of East Brady, PA and daughter, Holly (late Bob) George of Arlington, VA; four grandchildren, Peter George, Cammi Mulligan, Michael George and Michele George; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Theresa Piotrowski of Glassport and Mary Ann Martino of Homestead, FL and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the STEPHEN D. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, 1701 Route 51 (Large) in Jefferson Hills on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. On Saturday a prayer will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated in St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church in Clairton with Father Donald Brier officiating. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in North Versailles. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice . Visit www.stephendslater.com for condolences.
