John was born July 5, 1928 in Hannibal, Mo. the son of John C. and Dorothy (Albright) Fette. He married Shirley A. Bower on January 9, 1954 in Corinth, MS. She preceded him in death on March 19, 2002.
Survivors include three children, Sue Russell and husband Paul of New London, Mo; Ann Fette of Hannibal, Mo. and John Fette of St. Louis, Mo; four grandchildren, Adam Hudson (Donna), Angie Cook (Jason), Jake Hudson (Dani) and Ashley Hudson; and numerous great grandchildren.
In addition to both his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Willis Hardy and one sister, Phyllis Douglas.
Mr. Fette, along with James Wingfield, was the owner and operator of Fette Orchard from 1968 to present. The orchard was established by his grandfather in 1899.Mr. Fette also proudly served his country during the Korean War conflict in the United States Army as a Military Policeman and for five years was in the Army Reserves. In his younger years, Mr. Fette enjoyed riding motorcycles, constructing and flying model planes and woodworking. Later on in life, he enjoyed books, movies and puzzles.
