HOPPUS
Last rites will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Landis funeral home for Thurlow Hoppus, 56, of Route 2, Warsaw, who died on complications Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. in the Murphy Medical Center.
Mr. Hoppus, who had been in ill health for the past eight weeks, was born in Kosciusko county on March 22, 1905, the son of Homer and Maude (Myers) Hoppus. He married Alma Blue in 1924. Mr. Hoppus was employed as a molder at Warsaw Foundry.
Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Allred, of Augusta, Ga.; two sons, Howard C. of Fort Benjamin Harrison, Ind., and Robert of Warsaw, a patrolman on the Warsaw city police force; his mother, Mrs. Maude Hoppus, of Warsaw; and eight grandchildren.
Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today.
