Dora Elizabeth Bodle, 86, died Thursday, August 5, 2004, in her residence.
She had been a resident of Welsh for the last 7 years coming from Port Arthur, TX. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, working puzzles, and reading. She had been a member of the Eagles Women's Auxiliary Group in Port Arthur. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who was very generous and liked to help people.
Survivors include two sons, Claud "Ray" Bodle, Sr. and wife, Mona, of Fred, Texas, and Henry Arnold Bodle, and wife, Faith, of Beaumont, TX; one step-son, William Edward Bodle, Jr. of Smith Point, TX; two daughters, Leora "Lee" Bertrand Hebert and Linda Gary and husband, Roger, all of Welsh; one step-daughter, Doris Nelson and husband, Joe, of Smith Point, TX; one brother, Allen Crisler of Lexington, Nebraska; one sister, Flora Mae Jones of West Jefferson, Ohio; 15 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Edward Bodle, Sr.; one son, Wayne Obenchain; and 5 brothers, Robert, John, Gerald, Kenneth, and Frank Crisler.
