Humphrey.
Mrs. Susan Humphrey, wife of Thomas L. Humphrey, died at her late home, 132 West Jefferson street, Macomb, Ill., at 12:40 o'clock Sunday, September 19. Funeral services will be held at the home Tuesday at 2:30, burial in Oakwood cemetery. She had been a sufferer from bronchial trouble for several years, the last eight weeks of which time she was confined to her bed.
She was the daughter of John and Mary Ann Eakle and was born in Ross county, Ohio, April 21, 1847. When three years of age she moved to this state with her parents, who settled in Tennessee township, where she grew to womanhood. Practically all of her life was spent in McDonough county. Seventeen years ago she moved to this city and December 9, 1874, was united in marriage to Thomas L. Humphrey. To this union were five children, two of whom preceded her in death. She leaves besides her husband, three children, two sons, Oran F., and Dranon L., and one daughter Oga M., all at home. Also one sister, Mrs. Ida Head of Grand Rapids, Mich., and three brothers, Frank of Tennessee, Milton and Harvey Eakle of Hire township, McDonough county.
