GREAT BEND - Laura Louise Oberle, 87, died
Jan. 13, 1998, at Central Kansas Medical
Center, St. Rose Campus, Great Bend.

She was born June 15, 1910, at Ellinwood,
the daughter of Joseph A. and Mary Habiger Doll.

A resident of Great Bend for 14 years,
formerly of Ellinwood and Clatlin, she was
a retired nurses aide.

She belonged to St. Patrick Catholic Church,
St. Patrick Altar Society and Veterans of
Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary, all at Great
Bend, Daughters of Isabella, Ellinwood,
and was a charter member of Logan EHU.

On May 23, 1932, she married Bernard Joseph
Orberle at Ellinwood. He died Aug. 26,1976.

Survivors include: four sons, Larry, Amarillo,
Texas, Mark, Victoria, Texas, Kent, Midland,
Texas, and Rick, Milwaukee; three daughters,
Sister Zita Oberle and JoAnn Winkler, both
of Great Bend, and Dorris Griffin, Olathe;
two brothers, Emanuel Doll, and Edward Doll,
Clnflin; three sisters, Cecilia Robl and
Florentine Doll, both of Wichita, and
Gerry Tenholder, Topeka; 15 grandchildren;
and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers,
Raymond, Albert and Warren Doll; and a
sister, Marcella Eisenberg.

Altar Society Rosary will be at 4 p.m.
today at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home,
Great Bend. Vigil service will be at
7 p.m. today at the funeral homo. Funeral
will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Patrick
Catholic Church, Great Bend, with Father
Warren Stecklein presiding. Burial will
be in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery,
Ellinwood. Memorials may be sent to Sisters
of St. Joseph in care of the funeral home.
