Son of Stephen and Abigail Kirham Smith. Married Dec. 25 1860 at Oxford Wi. Angie R. Miller. Moved to Augusta, WI. 1874. Engaged in the grain and general produce business for 35 years. Member of the M.E. church nearly 45 years. Member of the John E. Perkins post G.A.R. Recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Survived by his wife, 3 children, Mrs. G.W. Pepper of Tacomah, Wa., Mrs. W.F. Anderson of Regina, Sask., Ethel at home, and a foster daughter Louise Dahm. A son died as an infant.2 grandchildren, Mrs. J.G. Montgomery and Ruth Pepper, a great grandchild, also 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
