Paul A. Boyer, 90, of East Hanover Township, Dauphin County passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at his home.

Born April 24, 1923 in Hershey, he was a son of the late Chester S. and Lydia (Lingle) Boyer.

Owner of the former Paul A. Boyer Garage, Grantville, he also sold John Deere Equipment and later retired as road master for the township. He was a member of Shells Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brownstone Lodge #666 F. & A.M., Zembo Shriners International, Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, R. W. Grand Lodge F. & A.M., and Pennsylvania Society of the Sons of the American Revolution. A life member of Shellsville V. F. W. #9639, he was a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II serving on the U.S.S. Williams. Paul was active in preserving and refurbishing the Hanover Presbyterian Churchyard (Old English Cemetery) in Grantville.

The widower of Mildred K. "Mim" Boyer who died January 4, 2012, he was also preceded in death by brothers Abraham L. Boyer and Warren H. Boyer.

Surviving are his sister Mary I. "Polly" Beckett of New Holland; several loving nieces, a nephew and great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 17, 2014 at Grantville Cemetery preceded by a viewing from 10:00 – 10:45 AM at Buse Funeral Home, 9066 Jonestown Road, Grantville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to his church, 287 Shells Church Road, Grantville, PA 17028 or to Hanover Presbyterian Churchyard, c/o JoLynn Stoy, 217 Shells Church Road, Grantville, PA 17028.
