Lu's first marriage was to Doug D. Sorenson on July 29, 1966 in Oxnard, CA. They settled in Minneapolis, MN and had four children. They moved back to California in June of 1977 and divorced soon after.
Lu then remarried to Lyle D Connor on July 3, 1982 and settled in the Ventura County area.
A favorite pass time of Lu's was crocheting. Most everyone in her family was the recipient of an afghan or at the very least a scarf & beanie. She was also a poet, leaving her collection to her daughter.
She was officially diagnosed with COPD in 2006 and wanted to be an advocate of anti-smoking due to the grave mistake of smoking addiction.
Lu is survived by her four children, nine grandchildren and her husband of 28 years.
