MRS. MINTA GEISER HAWMAN, died Thursday night at 1915 o'clock at her residence 388 West Main street, following a long illness from internal trouble. She had been in poor health for several years and was confined to bed for the past month. For the last week or more her condition was very critical so that her death was not unexpected. She was in the 62rd. year of her age.
Mrs. Hawman was the second daughter of the late Peter Geiser and was born April 16, 1868 at Mt. Airy, the old Geiser homestead. She was a member of the Lutheran church and was a most estimable woman, beloved by a large circle of friends in this community where she passed her entire life.
Besides her husband Mrs. Hawman is survived by one daughter, Mary, recently married to Charles D. Speck; her mother, Mrs. Mary Geiser, and these sisters and brothers; Mrs. Libbie Kunkle, Miss Elsie Geiser and D. Singer Geiser, this city; James Geiser, Three Forks, Montana; Joseph F. Geiser, Stroundsburg, Pa., and Harry Geiser, Markes, this county.
Funeral Saturday, afternoon at 2 o'clock at the house in charge of Rev. Dr. J. M. Francis and burial in Green Hill cemetery. Services and interment both private. It is requested that flowers be omitted.
