William Lucy age 68 of Salado died Thursday, February 13, 2014 at a Batesville hospital. He was born January 11, 1946 at Batesville, Arkansas to Henry Robert and Rose Irene Branscum Lucy. He was retired from ConAgra Foods in Batesville and was a member of the Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church located at Maple Springs.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, Elbert and Pearl Branscum and Bob and Tressie Lucy; one brother, Robert "Pete" Lucy and one sister, Tressie Bennett.

Survivors include three daughters, Sara Lockard of Prim, Amanda Phillips and husband Sammy of Pleasant Plains and Terry Ann Basner of Michigan; one brother, Buddy Lucy of Cushman; two sisters, Nettie Hackworth of Newark and Penny Jackson of Bethesda; ten grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maple Springs Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Curt Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Maple Springs Cemetery located at Maple Springs with arrangements by Qualls Batesville Funeral Service of Batesville.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Hughes, William Branscum, Charlie Jackson, Shawn Branscum, Donnie Branscum, Dennis Branscum and Rusty Branscum.

Honorary pallbearers are all his cousins, nephews, and his brothers-in-law Al Bennett and Ronnie Hackworth.
