Audrey J. (Morehouse) Cooley, age 84,passed away Thursday, February 13, 2014.

Audrey was born April 22, 1929 in Manchester, Kansas to Harold "Sam" and Florence (Glenn) Morehouse.

She had five siblings born before her, Kent, Bryce, Jack and Dorothy, making her the baby of the clan.

Audrey attended Kansas Wesleyan University.

On April 22, 1951, she and Warren D. "Dean" Cooley were united in marriage at the Presbyterian Church in Abilene, Kansas. To this union Denise Sue and Alan Dean were born.

Audrey enjoyed the farm life and did so much for so many people.

She baked wonderful pies to take to farm sales, the county fair, funeral and friends in need.

Since she could sew, many items of clothing were sewn for Denise.

Whether it was carrying hot lunches to the field or sharing the many candies made at Christmas time, Audrey was a very giving woman.

Survivors include her husband, Dean; daughter, Denise Smiley and her husband Dennis; step-grandchildren, Todd, Tanda, Shawna and Robert; 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Alan Dean Cooley, died in 2000.
