Age 72, formerly of Largo, son of Arthur Leroy and Dorothy Maella Sturdivant Blakeslee.

Norman graduated, in 1961, from Academy High School, in Erie, Pa., and moved to Florida with his family in the summer of 1972. He married Joyce Ann Miles on July 7th 1962 in Ripley, New York. The next summer they had their first child, a daughter, Darlene Anne on July 22, 1963. Then they had a son, Norman Leroy Blakeslee on November 16, 1966. and another son, Todd James in June 1970. Just before moving his family to Florida they had their 4th child, Michelle Renee Blakeslee who was born on Leap year day 1972 (Feb 29th). Their fifth and last child was born in Florida, a daughter, Valerie Jean Blakeslee, born Jan 9th 1974.

While in Florida, Gene started his Auto Air conditioning business which he operated till his divorce in 1988.

Interment will be in Wales Cemetery, Erie, Pa.
