THE VILLAGES - Rolland J. Hurteau, 87, died on Wednesday, February 12, 2014. Born in Alpena, MI, he was the son of the late Emile and Ozevina (Allard) Hurteau.
Rolland was a plant manager in the tool & die industry in a career that spanned 40 years. He moved to The Villages from Palm Harbor, FL in 2005 and was of the catholic faith. He was a Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a member of the Marine Corps League, The Villages. He enjoyed playing golf and was a collector of odds n ends. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Annamae Hurteau in August 2013.
Rolland leaves his children, Suzanne Hurteau, The Villages; Gregory Hurteau, Waterford, MI; Linda Shine, Wasila, AK; Janet Fraley, Nashville, TN; Dale Hurteau, Grand Blanc, MI and 3 grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1511 Buenos Aires Blvd., The Villages, FL. Committal services with military honors will follow in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
