Flora N. "Flo" Frumpe, 81, of Jasonville, passed away at 6:55 p.m. Monday, May 5, 2003, at Bloomington Hospital. Born June 2, 1921, in Shelburn, she was the daughter of Frederick and Hazel (Pierce) Ackelmire. She retired from Ridinger's IGA after many years of service. She was a member of Lawton Street Christian Church in Jasonville; Delta Zi-Tri Kappa; and lifetime member of the Jasonville Order of Eastern Star. Survivors include a son-in-law, Dan Brown of Bloomington; two grandsons, Bart Brown and Brett Brown, both of Bloomington; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles Frumpe, on Aug. 8, 1985; son, Jeff Frumpe; daughter, Jill Brown; two brothers, John Ackelmire and Jim Ackelmire; and her parents. Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. on Wednesday at McClanahan-Lee Funeral Home in Jasonville with Pastor Mark Messmer officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.
