Bobbie Lee Bedwell, 72, of LaPorte and formerly of Sullivan County, passed away Monday, May 26, 2003, at LaPorte Hospital. Born Nov. 12, 1930, in Paxton, he was the son of Emmons and Odessa (Perkins) Bedwell. He was a member of the Shady Lane Church of Christ in Michigan City, and the Teamsters Local 135. Survivors include his wife, Doris (Boone) Bedwell of LaPorte; two sons and daughters-in-law, Darin and Lisa Bedwell of LaPorte and Roger and Debra Bedwell of Noblesville; two sisters, Ina Fields of Linton and Ann Hostetler of LaPorte; two grandsons, Seth Bedwell and Tyler Bedwell; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Darlene; a son, Dennis Ray; four brothers, Joe and Earl Plummer and Floyd and Loren Bedwell; and two sisters, Lilly Robertson and Ruby Chambers. Funeral service will be at Newkirk Funeral Home in Dugger at 10 a.m. on Friday with Bro. Gordon Wonsey officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery.
