Mrs. Leila Ellis Cochran, 84 resident of the Cold Springs Community died 29 August 1976 at the Abbeville County Memorial Hospital. Born in Abbeville County, 7 July 1892 she was a daughter of the late Mrs. Anna Christiana Delilah King Ellis and the late Mr. William Revenah Ellis, Sr. She was the widow of Mr. Samuel Alfred Cochran who died 28 January 1959. A homemaker, Mrs. Cochran was a member of Upper Long Cane Presbyterian Church. Survivors include five daughters: Mrs. Martha Elizabeth Cochran [Ervin H] Gaddis of
Abbeville; Mrs. Christine Cochran [Hubert G.] Anderson of Greenwood, Mrs. Margaret Lee Cochran [Paul H.] Mann of Charlotte NC, Mrs. Eunice Eleanor Cochran [Luther H.] Mundy of Lexington and Col. Gladdis Ine Cochran of Miami FL; a son: Mr. Samuel Ellis Cochran of Abbeville; a sister: Mrs. Ludie Ellis [Joseph C] King of Abbeville; 15 Grandchildren and 11 great grand children. Interment will follow in Long Cane Cemetery. Harris Funeral Home.
