CRAIGSVILLE - Martin Elwood "Marty" Glover, 74, husband of Shirley (Harris) Colvin Glover, passed away Monday, February 10, 2014, at Augusta Health in Fishersville. Mr. Glover was born March 2, 1939, in Fishersville, a son of the late Bowman William and Mae Alberta (Shuey) Glover. Mr. Glover attended Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church as a child, and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was employed with DuPont as a Lycra Operator until his retirement in 1998 after 35 years of service. Mr. Glover had a lifetime love of farming. Surviving in addition to his wife of 45 years, is a daughter, Annette (Colvin) Argenbright and husband, Steve of Staunton; two brothers, Marvin W. Glover and wife, Helen, and William B. "Bill" Glover and wife, Cynthia (Jordan) all of Staunton; a sister, Ada (Glover) Halley and husband, Robert of Charles Town, West Virginia; and a granddaughter, Heather R. Showalter and husband, Justin of Dayton. A Graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 12, 2014, at Thornrose Cemetery by Pastor Terry Adkins. Friends may call at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory at any time. Active pallbearers will be Jim Skinner, Dr. Rob Marsh, Steve Puffenbarger, Brad Ingram, Chadwick Bazzrea, Donnie Duncan and Chris Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Christian, Adam Miller, Jimmy Glover and Buck Brown. It is suggested those desiring make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 420 Neff Avenue, Suite 210, Harrisonburg, VA 22801 or Augusta Health Hospice of the Shenandoah, Post Office Box 215, Fishersville, VA 22939.
