Edward Franklin, who was born and grew to manhood in Bremen, died at his home at Nappanee Wednesday afternoon at 1:15 at the age of sixty-two years, eleven months and eleven davs.
He had been in failing health for about a year. He was born in Bremen March 27, 1874.
On Sept 28, 1923, he was united in marriage with Effie Brooks, who died April 24, 1928, at Tippecanoe City, Ohio. They were the parents of one son, William Thomas, who survives.
Mr Franklin leaves also two brothers, G W Franklin of Roswell, New Mexico, and William H Franklin pf Bremen; and three sisters, Emma E Franklin and Mrs Wallace Shenefield of Bremen and Mrs Margaret Binkley of Nappanee.
Funeral services will be held in the Wright funeral home at Nappanee Friday afternoon at 2 pm, followed by burial in the Bremen cemetery. Rev Elmer Smith, pastor of Salem Evangelical church, Bremen, will officiate in the funeral service.
