Victim Of Epilepsy Suffocated In Mud

Falling head-first into the mud on his father's ranch during an epileptic seizure which occurred while he was irrigating a field, Perry Austin Rambo, 38, of the Delano district, died of suffocation yesterday afternoon, according to Coroner J. M. Hadley.

Rambo, who was subject to the epileptic attacks at intervals, was aiding his father in irrigating on the Rambo ranch near Tipton. When the attack took place, he fell into the mud, burying his face and head. His father, Commodore Rambo, was about 200 yards away when the son fell, and rushed to his aid. He was unsuccessful, however, and Rambo died before he could be extricated from the mud.

Survivors include the parents and several brothers and sisters. The family had lived in the Delano district for six years.
