Son of John Jackson and Anna Faye Baker.
Married Roberta Marie Holsapple in 1956.
Survivors include brother Fred Baker; son Dennis (Wendy) Baker; daughters Cindi (Jay) Compton and Jacki (Jeff) Riggen; 10 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and 4 step-greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Brian Maris, daughter Mary Anna and grandmother Myrtle Gill.

He served in the National Guard from 1953-1954; the U. S. Air Force 1955-58, stationed in Homestead, FL. He retired from RR Donnelley in 1999 after 33 years.
He was a member of Eagles 1005; American Legion Post 0288; board member of Athens Saddle Club, and member of the Church of Abundant Faith.
He enjoyed bowling, fishing, golfing, woodworking, and beating his family at a good game of Euchre.

Memorial service 2pm Tuesday at Church of Abundant Faith in Crawfordsville. Visitation noon until time of service.

Military graveside service 2:30pm Saturday, June 28. A gathering of family and friends will follow the service at 1312 W. Main St.
