Edna was the daughter of Charles W. and Angeline Stoddard Berckhemer. She married James M. Rogers, a native of Ohio, and the couple settled in Winchester, Kentucky. Although not blessed with children of their own, the couple raised Pearl Puckett, the daughter of her first cousin, Laura B. Moore Puckett. Mrs. Rogers was widowed, in 1922, which may have contributed to her reduced circumstances. She passed away from the effects of apoplexy.
