Frank T. Punderson died Wedesday at the home of his mother, Mrs Mary L. Punderson, at 259 Union street, following an illness of about two weeks. He had, however, been in failing health for some time, and a short time ago came back to Hudson in hopes of regaining his health. The deceased was born in Hudson July 16, 1854, the son of the late James Mellen Punderson and of Mary L. Punderson, who is in her 90th year.
He was educated in the Hudson public schools and took a position in the hardware store of the late E. W. Kimball, on upper Warren street. When Mr Kimball sold out his business to James C. Rogerson he was retained in the employ of the new owner and for several years remained there.
About twenty years ago he went to New Britain, Conn., where he entered the employ of Landers, Frary & Clark, manufacturers of hardware and aluminum goods, and by his honesty and integrity, his ever cheerful nature and his business ability, rapidly won promotion and at the time of his death held a responsible position.
The deceased was a vestryman of Christ church, this city; Past Master of Hudson Lodge, No. 7, F. & A. M., having been active in Masonic circles for many years, and an exempt member of Hoystradt's Chemical Co. No. 8.
He was a man of the highest type, and a sterling citizen. His entire life was filled with kindness and the great circle of friends he made and held will learn of his death with sincere regret.
Besides his mother he is survived by one sister, Miss Louise M. Punderson of Hudson, and two brothers, J. W. Punderson, of St. Paul, Minn., and James H. Punderson, of Stockbridge, Mass.
