Jimmy was born June 8, 1936 in Matoy, Bryan County, the son of D. E. and Mary Tilley Epperley. He worked as a delivery driver for both Rainbow Bread and Borden Milk. He also worked as a driller and tool pusher in the oil field. When Jimmy retired he was working as a truck driver.
He was a member of the St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City.
Jimmy was preceded in death by sons Jimmy Carl Epperley and Don Epperley, parents D.E. and Mary Epperley, a sister Charlene Scroggins, and two brothers Bill Epperley and Bud Epperley.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Epperley of McLoud, son Tim Epperley of Holdenville, stepson Neil Mick and wife Heather of McLoud, daughter Cathy Mathis of Holdenville, daughter Grace Epperley of the home, stepdaughter Robin Webb and husband Raymond of Lansing, Kansas, one brother Jerry Epperley and wife Vera of Holdenville, one sister Rose Ann Ford of Holdenville, nineteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 12 at 2:00 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church in Shawnee.
