EATON - Farrell E. Marine, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Elmcroft of Muncie.

He was born on July 8, 1926 to Eldon and Ella (Dean) Marine in Delaware County.

He graduated from Montpelier High School.

Farrell served his country in the United States Air Force during World War II. He married Crystal Smith on October 24, 1944 in Redkey, Indiana.

He worked at Warner Gear, and was a co-owner of Marine Trucking. Farrell also owned Crossbow Campground at Riverwood, Indiana and was a member of the Central Indiana Old Car Club.

He is survived by his wife of sixty-nine years, Crystal Marine; two sons, Richard L. (Romanelle) Marine, and Randy E. (Judy) Marine; three grandchildren, Deanna (David) Nichols, Randall Marine, and Lindsay Marine, great-grandchildren, Matthew Nichols and Kaylee Nichols, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Eva Wanita White, and a brother, Claude M. Marine.

Private family services were held on Friday, February 7, 2014. He was laid to rest at Gardens of Memory, Muncie.

The family would like to thank State of the Heart Hospice and the staff at Elmcroft for their excellent care and compassion.
