Tony was the owner and proprietor of Tony's Used Cars in Reno. Tony came to Nevada as a young man, and operated The Overland restaurant in Winnemucca with his father. In 1922 he moved to Reno, and worked briefly at a grocery store before getting into the auto parts business.

He worked for various auto companies before opening Tony's Used Cars in 1939. He entered the Army in 1942, and in 1945 he was released to inactive duty as a captain. He married Beatrice Groux on January 11, 1941.

Besides selling cars, Tony's pastimes also included hunting, fishing, bowling and baseball. He was founder and president of the Reno Used Car Dealers Association, and was also a member of the 20-30 Club and Reno Lodge No. 597, BPOE.

He died when a jeep rolled over on top of him while on a hunting expedition with friends.

He was survived by his wife, Beatrice; two daughters, Toni and Susan; his mother, Matilda; a brother, John; two sisters, Mrs. Estelle Heward and Miss Dorina Petrinovich; and an uncle, Lawrence.
