Clarence Herman Klaumann, son of Herman and Mary Proft Klaumann, was born near Cuba, September 19, 1926, and died at the Republic County Hospital in Belleville January 15, 1982, at the age of 55 years, three months and 26 days.
He received his education at the Beebe and White Rural Grade Schools and the Cuba High School.
He was united in marriage to Magdelena Blazek on June 8, 1957, and to this union three daughters were born.
He was a veteran of World War II and served in the US Army in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of the William Fleming Post No. 345, the American Legion, Junior Eagles Lodge, ZCBJ Lodge No. 362, and Czechs Inc., Republic County Chapter No. 3.
He was engaged in farming and later worked at the Hall Mill and Elevator of Belleville for twenty-five year.
He is survived by his wife, Magdelena of the home; three daughter, Trudy Annette, Nancy Jo, and Kayleen Kay, all of the home; his parents; two sisters: Mrs. Melvin (Irene) White of Lincoln, Nebr. and Mrs. Terry (Betty) Krull of Roca, Nebr.
Funeral services were held at the First United Methodist Church of Belleville, conducted by the Rev. James Graves. Interment was in the National Bohemian (Kopsa) Cemetery. Graveside services were conducted by the William Fleming Post No. 345, the American Legion of Cuba.
