Miriam M. Roth, 83, of Walnut Street, Red Hill, formerly of Pennsburg, died Monday, Dec. 13, in Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. She was the wife of George H. Roth, who died in 1995.
A nurse, she was employed by Pennsburg Manor, 1983-87; Dr. Baver in Pennsburg, 1947-83, and Grand View Hospital, West Rockhill Township, 1937-47.
Born in Harleysville, she was a daughter of the late Nelson R. and Laura B. (Ritter) Moyer.
She was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, East Greenville, and taught Sunday school there for 25 years. Also, she was a former choir member and quilter.
She was a volunteer at the Wyncote Home and a member of the Grand View Hospital Nurses Alumni Association and American Legion Post 184 Auxiliary, Palm.
Survivors: Daughter, Patricia J. Comfort, and a brother, Arthur R., both of Norristown, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly A. Stear.
