Bud was a witty and passionate businessman and entrepreneur. He worked for Sheehan Pipeline, Marathon Petroleum, and became the owner of Fisher Fuel, an oil business in Walled Lake, Michigan. "Bud" served with the United States Navy during WWII. He was a 32° Mason (Scottish Rite of Danville, llinois), member of the American Legion, Shriners, VFW and the Elks. In his spare time, he enjoyed computers, woodworking and fishing. He attended Lawrenceville schools and was a graduate of the University of Illinois. Bud was a loving and devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife and best friend Margaret "Nadine" Burgoon of Lawrenceville, daughters Jill Anne (Thomas) Donaldson of Mission Viejo, California, JoBeth (Robert) McDonald of Neenah, Wisconsin and one son Jeffrey Garrel (Jamalee Chapman) of West Bloomfield, Michigan; 11 grandchildren Ian Matthew Donaldson, Andrew Thomas Donaldson, Courtland Thomas Donaldson, Meghan Louise McDonald Murray, Elizabeth '"Betsy" Anne McDonald Verlarde, Benjamin Robert McDonald, Robert "Robbie" Ried McDonald, Brianne Burgoon, Lora Ellen "Ellie" Burgoon, Lillian Grace Burgoon, Gavin Garrel Burgoon, and two great-grandchildren Keaton Phillip Velarde and Barrett Garrel Murray.
Preceding Bud in death were his parents and two sisters, Martha Mae McConnell and Patricia Kay Corey.
Funeral services will be Friday at 12 Noon at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be Friday from 10 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church or the Lawrence County Historical Society with envelopes available through the funeral home.
