A.L. "Bill" Davis, 81, Cadiz, died at 6:45am today at Pinecrest Nursing Home, Hopkinsville, after a short illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Goodwin Funeral Home.
A native of Trigg County, he was born Sept 1, 1899, the son of the late John Forrest and Julia Ella Sumner Davis. Mr. Davis was a retired farmer and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. His wife, Lou Belle Thomas Davis, died in 1972 and one son, Carey T. "Sonny" Davis, died in 1979.
Survivors include one son, Carl G. "Ned" Davis; one daughter, Mrs. John Joyce Banister; one sister, Myrt Bridges, all of Cadiz; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
