Jensine Petersen was born in Denmark, but moved to Omaha, Nebraska. She had two daughters that we know of, that were born in New York: Viola (Otto) Burmeister and Doris. We believe Jensine was married to Peter Holt Petersen.
When both Viola and her son-in-law, Otto passed away, Jensine took her little grandson, Stanley Burmeister into her home.
The 1940 US Census shows the family living at 2815 S. 17th, Omaha, Nebraska, with the household consisting of:
Jensine Petersen, 74, widowed, head
Doris Petersen, 34, daughter
Stanley Burmeister, 11, grandson.
Jensine died at age 96, and was buried in Springwell next to Peter Holt Petersen (grave 3) Stanley, who lived to be 75, is buried nearby (grave 7), and Viola, Otto and their baby lie in an older part of Springwell Cemetery.
