Esther C. Adams, 96, of Pine Grove, passed away Sunday in Tremont Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Pine Grove Township, Sept. 19, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Lucia C. Mease Adams.
Esther was a 1936 graduate of Pine Grove High School
She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Pine Grove.
Esther had been employed in the shipping department at the former Summit Station Manufacturing in Pine Grove, then at the former Pine Valley Manufacturing, Pine Grove, until her retirement.
She was very active in the Pine Grove Area Senior Citizens where she served 25 years as treasurer. She had been a member and past treasurer in the HH&L Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was on the Pine Grove election board for many years.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley and Eugene Adams.
Surviving are a sister, Janet Hendricks, Pine Grove; nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in Suedberg Church of God Cemetery, Pine Grove. H.L. Snyder Funeral Home Inc., Pine Grove, is in charge of arrangements.
