Born July 23,1907, in Dripping Springs, Wood was a retired civil service employee. He was a member of the Church of God. Survivors include three daughters, Margie Mooney of Fort Worth, LaVerne Meyer of San Antonio, and Wanda Moeller of Houston; sister, Dorothy Menn of Kerrville; three brothers, O.J. Wood of Blanco, Allen Wood of San Antonio, and Clarence Wood of LaVernia. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Grimes Funeral Chapels of Kerrville.
