COMFORT - Mr. Wilfred Agold of Comfort passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, in the Trinity Mission Health and Rehab Center at the age of 89 years. Wilfred was born Dec. 9, 1918, in Kendall County, Texas, to Fritz and Katie (Sauer) Agold. Wilfred married Mary Kathryn (Simmons) on July 4, 1966, in Comfort, Texas. Wilfred Agold is survived by his wife, Mary Kathryn Agold of Comfort; one daughter, one son and spouses, Lonnie and Frances Agold of Boerne and Ida Erlene and Paul Fisher of Boerne; two stepdaughters, one stepson and spouses, Sharon Simmons of Arkansas, Robert and Jackie Robbins of Kerrville and Kathy and Gary Miears of Kerrville; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Margaret Hildebrand of Comfort. Along with his parents, Wilfred was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar Agold; sisters, Erna Schladoer and Roma Schaeffer; and a stepgrandson, David Swanson. Graveside services and interment will be on Friday, Nov. 14, at 10 a.m. in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Kerrville, with Frankie Enloe officiating. Military honors will be accorded at graveside. Arrangements are by Schaetter Funeral Home of Comfort.
