Georgia Booton Hines, 95, of Sarasota, Fla., formerly of Wayne, W.Va., passed away January 30, 2014, at her home in Sarasota.
She was born June 29, 1918, at Stiltner, WV., a daughter of the late Willie and Mary Ellen Napier Ramey.
Georgia was a retired supervisor with the WV Department of Health and Human Resources and was a member of the Wayne United Methodist Church and the Northminister Presbyterian Church in Sarasota. She was a member of the Palm Aire Country Club where she became an avid golfer in recent years. She also enjoyed playing bridge with her friends and games with her children and family.
She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Herald "Dike" Booton and Denzil "Jake" Hines, sisters, Verna and Mae, and brothers Denzil, Walker and James, and a son-in-law, Chester Maynard Jr.
Survivors include four children, Mary Ann Maynard and Cassa Preece (Bob), all of Wayne, WV., Russell Booton (Sandy) and Earl Douglas Booton (Connie) all of Lavalette, WV., a step-daughter, Brigiette Hines of Barboursville, WV., beloved niece, Della M. Lycan of Sarasota, Fla., 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, and extended family ,Stephen and Jamie Carey of Wayne and Cam Tufts of Lavalette, and a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends she so dearly enjoyed.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 8, 2014, at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne, WV., with her son Earl Douglas Booton and Pastor Jake Steele officiating. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Wayne.
