Mrs. Jeanette Nichols Kuhn, 68, 5507 E. Jackson St., retired Muncie teacher, died unexpectedly Thursday in Ball Hospital, where she had been confined since falling and breaking her hip on Oct. 12. She was the widow of Paul Kuhn.
Born in Lynn, she had lived in Muncie since 1923. She attended Ball State and taught at Longfellow Elementary School for 30 years. For the past 30 years she had been teaching evening adult classes at McKinley Junior High School.
She was a member of the Hazelwood Christian Church, Alpha Pilathea Sunday School Class, Sigma Delta Pi Sorority, and Delaware County Historical Association. She was also a member of Indiana Retired Teachers Association and National Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Orie Linville, Gas City, Mrs. Travis Anderson, La Grange, Ill., and Mrs. Thomas G. Strauch, Muncie; three brothers, Robert H. Nichols, Farmland, Harry Nichols, Indianapolis, and Ned Nichols, Muncie.
There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 in Hazelwood Christian Church with Rev. Robert G. Sulanke officiating. Meeks Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
