Short Locality Notes Under Livonia
Lorin Coy, whom sickness at Mt. Morris was noticed a couple of weeks ago, died in that village on Friday last. He was a brother of Benjamin Coy of the Center and formerly lived in Livonia.
Death of Loren Coy.
Loren Coy died at his home at Mt. Morris last Friday night. He was born at Livonia Center, in January, 1814, and the first twenty years of his life passed in this town. He learned his trade of George Pratt & Co., boot and shoe dealers, who were for so long a time at the Center. Removing to Mt. Morris in 1833, he became identified with the firm of Woodford Coy & Co., which continued till within a few years, when failing health compelled his retirement. He leaves a widow, children and grandchildren and a large circle of friends.
