Charles Chrisman, a former well known Illinois Central employee here, died in Stephensville, Texas, a day or two ago, the body being brought to Murphysboro for burial some time today. After leaving Carbondale about four years ago, Mr. Chrisman was with the O. & E. I. at West Frankfort, going to the southwest a few months ago to seek relief from a lung affection. Deceased was a son of Rural Carrier W. S. Chrisman, of Murphysboro. He was a member of Carbondale Odd Fellows and Rebekah lodges and attended the anniversary celebration at Murphysboro last April, going to Texas soon after. He leaves a widow.
