Nathan F. Abbott died at his home on Highland Road, Saturday, of heart disease, aged 70 years, 4 mouths, and 22 days. For some years he had suffered with a weakness of the limit. He appeared to be well a few moments before he passed away.
Mr. Abbott was born in Andover and has lived here all his life. He learned the machinist trade, but ill health prevented his following that trade. He had kept a farm for many years. He was a quiet man but was much interested in town affairs.
He leaves a wife, six daughters, Jennie S, Agnes, Florence I., Alice, Susan E., and Mrs. H.F. Chase, and two sons, Garfield and George.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon in the vestry of the old South Church. The service was conducted by Rev. Frank H. Shipman. Burial was in the Old South Cemetery.
