Little Boy Killed By Motorcycle
Four-year-old David Alan Thompson, a member of a prominent Lodi area family, was killed instantly Saturday evening when he was struck by a motorcycle on Peltier rd., just west of the Mokelumne river bridge.
The child was attempting to cross from the north side to the south side of Peltier rd. when the accident occurred.
David was born in Lodi, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard V. Thompson, Rt. 2, Box 206. Thompson is currently the president of the Lodi District Grape Growers Association.
David was the younger brother of Jeffrey D. Thompson of Lodi. He was the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. C.V. Thompson of Lodi and Mrs. Bessie Shinn Detert, also of Lodi.
The little boy was the nephew of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pierovich of Danville and Assemblyman and Mrs. William Biddick of Stockton. Biddick is the Democratic representative from this area to the State Assembly.
He was a student at the Sunday School of the First Congregational Church here.
