BREVARD, N.C. - Ellen L. Grimes Foote, 76, of Greenwood Lane, Brevard, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 1999.
Born April 24, 1922, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Myrtle G. Grimes and the stepdaughter of the late Frances Grimes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne W. Foote, in 1998.
She is survived by:
three daughters,
Barbara Roper of Cedar Mountain, N.C.,
Debbie Crutchfield of Advance, N.C., and
Susan Finley of Easley, S.C.;
three sisters,
Beverly Taylor of Clear Spring,
Laura Ann Bowers and
Garnetta Shillingburg, both of Hagerstown;
two brothers,
Samuel Grimes and
James Grimes, both of Hagerstown;
five grandchildren and
one great-grandson.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home, Brevard. The Rev. Will Finley will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Methodist Building Fund, 321 Ridland Road, Advance NC 27006.
