Leslie was the only child of John J. "Jack" Conlan & Eva Isabel Coulter. He served in the U.S. Air Corps. When he registered for the WWI military draft on 18 September 1918, he was 20, a student, tall, slender, blue eyes, red hair. He married 23 December 1920 in Chicago, Illinois, to Miss Bergliot "Belle" Sunby Hansen, born 1899 in Illinois; no children. Leslie was a building inspector in San Francisco. He died reportedly of a brain tumor.
