Howard Chester Terry, 75, bored October 3, 1923 in Hubbard, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 17, 1998.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Nyle; two sons, Clark and Stan: five grandchildren, Andrew, Matthew, Ashley, Elizabeth and Laura: sister, Nancy Cunningham, Pat and Dan; half brothers Randy and Steve: and daughter-in-law , Chris.

Howard graduated from Duke University, Call of 1947. He served in the V-12 unit in. World War 11 with assignment in China. He returned Duke Law School where he met Nyle (Duke Class of 1950). He worked for the Houston Post, Thomas Publishing Co., and Terry Advertising in Print Advertising and Sales Marketing.

Howard had a strong Christian Faith and a zest for life. He loved to read the bible and pray with family and friends. He enjoyed sporting events ,golf, ping pong., swimming , tennis, eating a home cooked meal and holidays spent with the family and friends.

There will be a viewing for the family and friends at Pat H. Foley Funeral Home on Sunday December 20, 1998, 2:00 P.M to 5 p.m.

A memorial service will be conducted by David Chavanne on Monday, December 21, 1998 at 11:00 a.m. at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr.

Howard was a gentleman and friend to many. He lived to be 75 years, 2 months and 14 days old.
