Death Takes Olive Ratliff
Olive Cook Ratliff, resident of Lodi for the past 23 years, passed away in a local hospital at 10:30 o'clock yesterday morning. She was stricken with a sudden illness and underwent an emergency operation. She was born in Marion county, Ohio August 27, 1861,and was nearing her 80th birthday anniversary.
Her family moved to Nebraska when she was five years of age. She was educated and married there. Her husband, Volney Noyes, passed away about ten years after their marriage. To them three children were born. She later remarried and joined in the great rush to Oklahoma territory.
She came to Lodi 23 years ago and for the past 16 years had made her home at 216 East Locust street. She was a member of the Church of Christ of Lodi.
The deceased was the mother of Earl O. Noyes, Farmington, New Mexico; Mrs. Rex Heneger, Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. G.,. Medford, Stockton; sister of Mrs. Elmer V. Walter, Lodi; Mrs. D.L. Maxwell, Oakland; Miss Genevieve Cook, Lodi. Interment in Lodi cemetery
