She graduated from Bosse H.S. and studied Interior Design at Vincennes University. Maria was a member of 1st Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church and later, Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church where she was in the Gospel Chorus, a Senior Usher, and Church Secretary.
Maria was preceded in death by her parents, Willis & Elizabeth Rittenhouse Williams, and sister, Mary Garrett (Frank).
Surviving are 2 daughters: Jacqueline & Tamara Williams; a granddaughter, Nathalia Davis-Gordon (Robert); two brothers: Sol Leonard Williams (Dorothy) & Eugene Williams (Georgette); 3 sisters: Linda Bledsoe, Gwendolyn Cheaney, & Lela Gamble (Lionel).
Services are Sat, Feb 8, 2014 at 12:00noon at Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation from 10:00am until service time. Burial Oak Hill Cemetery. Mason Brothers Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
