Albert H. Clark, 72, Teacher, Succumbs
Albert Hamilton Clark, 72, of 202 Carlton Drive, a widely-known retired local teacher, died yesterday in St. Mary’s Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Rockland, Maine, Mr. Clark came to Syracuse in 1928. He was chairman of the electrical skills department at Central Technical High School. He taught school for 33 years.
He graduated from Wentworth Institute, Boston, Mass. After graduating, he was employed by New York Edison Co. He also graduated from the Syracuse University College of Engineering in 1928.
He was a member of the state committee that revised the syllabus of the electrical department curriculum for schools in New York.
He was a member of First Methodist Church, American Institute of Electrical Engineers, Retired Teachers Association, Friends of Reading Board Members, Sons of American Revolution, and Mayflower Descendants Society.
He was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Clara G. Clark; a daughter, Miss Jonnah Clark; a son, Albert Andrews Clark of Boston, Mass.; a brother, Dr. Lewis Bates Clark of Spruce Head Island, Maine, and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be at the convenience of the family, the Rev. Vernon Bigler, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memory Gardens, DeWitt.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by Fairchild & Meech DeWitt Chapel.
