Billy R. Forney

Billy R. Forney, 46, of near Oglesby, a native of Putnam county, died unexpectedly at 11:50 P.M., Monday, Sept. 15, 1969, shortly after having been admitted to People's hospital in Peru. Death was attributed to a massive heart attack.

Born June 28, 1923, in Hennepin, he was the son of Elwood and Ruth Enyart Forney. He was educated in the Hennepin and Granville schools and was a World War II veteran. He and Margaret Nelson of Oglesby were married on Aug. 18, 1942. He was employed at Sundstrand in LaSalle.

Surviving are the widow, one son, Bill, of Jacksonville, and a daughter, Betty, at home; his mother, Mrs. August Rudolph, Spring Valley; a grandmother, Mrs. Bertha Pryor, Princeton; two sisters, Mrs. Irving Fiedler, Granville, and Mrs. Frank White, Princeton; two brothers, Arthur of Hartford, Conn. and Norman of LaSalle.

His father and two children preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. today in the Gearhardt Funeral Home in LaSalle, the Rev. Donald McClintock, pastor of the Oglesby Union Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Hennepin.
