Opal Wagers Smallwood, 85, Indianapolis, died Jan. 8, 2004. She was born June 19, 1918 in Clay County, KY. She worked 14 years as a press operator for Titan Industrial Co., retiring in 1981. Services will be at 11 a.m. Jan. 12 in Fountain Square Mortuary, with calling from 3 to 8 p.m. Jan. 11. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood. She was preceded in death by parents Alex and Lou (Estep) Wagers; husband David Smallwood; daughter Sandra Smallwood. Survivors include sons Leroy, Ronald, Donald and James Smallwood; daughters Ann Church, Barbara Vincent, Wilma Workman, Deborah Mayo; sister Elza Schell; brothers Albert, Junior, Cornell Wagers; 26 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
