Funeral services were held in the Congregational church here Monday afternoon. Rev. C. R. Yeager, assisted by Rev. E. F. Kurtz of Redfield, S. D., officiated.
Burial was in Arlington cemetery near Moville under the direction of Stiles Funeral Home.
John Franklin Tracewell was born at Durant, Iowa, October 8, 1861. He and Frances Rose Boyer were married on March 11, 1883. She died 13 years ago. They moved to Kansas in 1886, and two years later they homesteaded in Cherry county, Nebr. They came to Woodbury county, Iowa, in 1894.
Surviving are seven children; Mrs. Pearl Moe of Hayward, Calif., Willis of Seaside, Calif., Ernest of Carthage, S. D., Mrs. Myrtle Kurtz of Redfield, S. D., Claude of Moville, Mrs. Mabel Hanchette of Sacramento, Calif., and Ben of Sioux City, 21 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a brother, Samuel of Sioux City.
